I’m sorry to say that I haven’t caught a 30 lb Chinook (yet) with which to use this but I did want to check the accuracy so I used a 25 lb cast weight from my weight bench. When I weighed it on my good quality dial bathroom scale (with and without me) the needle showed 24 lbs. Hanging the same weight from this Sportsman scale it read 24.6 lbs. That’s not like checking against a verified scale but it’s good enough to make me think this was a wise purchase.

Great luggage scale,
This is the perfect small, portable scale for weighing luggage when traveling by air. The 50 lb max of the scale is the same as the checked baggage for most airlines.
